A look back at the 2018 Ontario Region Golf Championship

The National Anthem plays during the opening ceremony of the Canadian Forces Ontario Regional Golf Tournament. July 4 2018 Garrison Golf and Curling Club, CFB Kingston.

Canadian Forces Base Kingston, Fitness & Sports, hosted the 2018 Ontario Region Golf Championship 3-6 July, at the Garrison Golf and Curling Club. Tuesday 3 July consisted of a travel day as well as a practice round, and the championship took place over the following three days.  The weather which was hot and sunny throughout the week, with extremely warm temperatures, did not hinder the morale of the golfers nor their competitive spirit.

Thank you to our sponsors, James Braden Ford, Athletico Sports Physiotherapy, Powerade, and VIA Rail Canada for their continued generosity of our CFB Kingston Sports Program.

In attendance for this year’s championship was our Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Golf Patron, Rear-Admiral Edmundson.  RAdm Edmundson played a round of golf in the buffer group, prior to attending the closing ceremony where he personally addressed the golf participants.

Hats off to Petawawa and Kingston for placing first and second respectively.  The following Bases partook and the overall team standings are:
