Major Dwayne “Krusty” Bos has been CFB Kingston’s senior chaplain since November 2020. Padre Bos is from southern Ontario and joined the CAF in 1997 as Reserve Chaplin in the Navy. He transferred to the Army in 1998 and worked with 4 RCR. In 2004 he joined the regular force and was rewarded with a posting to Shilo, Manitoba. Since then he has deployed to Afghanistan, and has worked in Borden and Gagetown.
On the personal side, with his wife they have four children. He is 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-do and is involved in both instructional and governance side of the sport. He was given the nickname by Krusty by BGen McCauley, but insists it has nothing to do with the clown on the Simpsons. You should ask Padre Bos about the origin of the name if you see him around the base.
