Celebrating the Inaugural Women in Sport Conference at WSM Mess

Keynote Speaker Dr. Alix Krahn delivers her address on the topic of Women's Work Within and Outside of Sport to the attendees of the Championing Change: Women Leading in Sport and Beyond Conference held at the Warrants and Sergeants Mess, CFB Kingston on 05 March 2025.

March 5th marked a historic moment as we hosted our first-ever Women in Sport Conference at the WSM Mess on Base. The event was a resounding success, filled with stories that brought tears, laughter, and, most importantly, inspiration.

The conference featured an incredible panel of speakers who shared their experiences with honesty and heart. Their stories resonated deeply with everyone in attendance, leaving us all with more than we bargained for—in the best way possible.

We are still buzzing with the powerful energy that filled the room. To our amazing attendees, thank you for being part of this unforgettable event. Your presence made the conference truly special.

Here’s to the first of many such events on base—celebrating Women in Sport and beyond!

Stay tuned for more inspiring stories and events as we continue to champion the incredible achievements of women in sports.
