This year the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) is trying something new. We are hosting a Connect-A-Thon on June 24th for the entire CFB Kingston community. The event will be taking place from 11am to 3pm outdoors at the KMFRC and the intent of the event is for families to enjoy a variety of ‘Fun in the Sun’ activities as well as a ‘Community Corner’ to mingle and gather information. This opportunity will allow individuals to connect with friends, neighbors and their community at the same time.
Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to hangout on the grass and join us for ‘Fun in the Sun’ activities like tug of war, bocce ball, coloring activities and face painting brought to us by Not So Amateur right here in Kingston! Don’t forget your little ones’ bathing suits as well to enjoy our splash pad and bring some plastic shovels for them to explore our playground. Arrowhead Beach rentals will also be available that day courtesy of Personnel Support Program Kingston (PSP).
The ‘Community Corner’ will provide you with valuable information to help you navigate your military journey in Kingston and several community partners will be present to provide you on site information.
In case you get hungry, don’t worry, delicious food and drinks will be available along with some live entertainment to keep you in the groove.
