After last year’s CFB Kingston Connect-A-Thon being a great success, the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) in collaboration with Personnel Support Programs (PSP), is organizing the second round of this much-loved community event. The CFB Kingston Connect-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, June 1st from 11am to 3pm at the KMFRC, 32 Lundy’s Lane. Like last year, the entire CFB Kingston military community is invited to connect with their community, as well as friends and neigbours at this unique outdoor event.

Hopefully mother nature will have mercy on us this year and the event can take place outside to allow for many “Fun in the Sun” activities, like facepainting, balloon animals, live music, games, free BBQ (beverages generously donated by Coca-Cola Bottling Kingston), cotton candy (generously brought to us by Camp Maple Leaf), Kona Ice ($) and so much more. In addition, a variety of fun activities will be hosted near Arrowhead Beach by our partners from PSP Kingston.
Back by popular demand, there will be a “Community Corner” in the KMFRC parking lot, inviting participants to gather information from the many information booths hosted by local community agencies from within the base, including multiple recreational clubs and from around the City of Kingston. This not only offers a fabulous opportunity to obtain information but to mix and mingle with friends, neighbors and their community at the same time.
Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to stretch out on and join us for all these spectacular activities. Don’t forget your little ones’ bathing suits, and bring plastic shovels so they can enjoy our playground.
If you’re hungry, don’t worry, as delicious food and beverages will be available (there will even be the Kingston Utilities water buggy on site for you to fill your reusable water bottles!), and there will be live entertainment to keep you on your toes.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at Constantine Arena, 7 Navy Way. Notices will be published the day before the event should the venue be required to change.
