New to Kingston? Well, you are in for a beautiful fall and a spooktacular Halloween! Kingston has plenty of ghosts and stories too. Throughout October, Kingston and the surrounding communities offer a variety of fun family activities and events from fall markets and pumpkin patches to corn mazes and the ever-popular Pumpkinferno!
Within the city there are a variety of activities including nightly Haunted Night Walks, and the Ghost & Mystery Trolley Tour downtown. Along with these events is the weekly Ghost & Mystery Cruise that will be sure to leave you bewildered and spooked knowing a little more of the dark mysteries beneath Kingston’s stunning waterfront.
Looking for a weekend adventure? Just beyond the city you will find pumpkin patches and corn mazes to entertain the whole family! Fruition Berry Farm is open weekends and has a fun and challenging corn maze that will entertain your family for an hour or so before or after you check out their variety of colourful pumpkins for your front porch.
Wynn Farms, on highway 33, west of the city, also offers terrific corn maze events including a moonlight corn maze. Wynn Farms has a grand pumpkin patch along with other Halloween activities including a kids Halloween event and apple picking.
Wanting to indulge in fresh fall harvest produce? Be sure to check out the Memorial Centre Farmer’s Market that offers fresh fall produce along with the Open Farms Harvest at Market Square, Sunday October 2nd.
If a fall forest walk is what you’re after, be sure to check out Lemoine Point Conservation Area located a short distance off Bayridge Drive in Kingston’s west end, and Frontenac Provincial Park located just 30 minutes north of the city.
