1. MacLachlan Wood Working Museum – May – October

2. Miller Museum of Geology

3. Movies in the Square
Thursdays at 8:30pm
Springer Market Square – free

As dusk begins earlier near the end of summer, bring your chairs and snacks over to the square half an hour earlier in August for the free outdoor film screenings. 4. Kingston Cooking Demos 2019
Saturdays at 11am
Springer Market Square

Come out and support the Local Food Local Chef Program and learn more about local produce and some skills to cook up what’s in season at home. 5. Memorial Centre Farmers Market
Sundays from 9am -2pm
303 York St. – free

Head out to the outdoor market on Sunday mornings, until October when it moves back inside, for local food, preserves, and crafts. 6. Princess St. Promenade
Saturday, August 3 from 10am – 5pm
Downtown Kingston

Princess St. will be closed to traffic for the annual Promenade. Take a stroll through the festival to check out and support Kingston community groups and businesses downtown.

7. 1,000 Islands Poker Run 2019
Friday August 16 – Saturday August 17
Confederation Basin/ Park

Whether you’re a power boat enthusiast or just looking for an interesting way to spend your Friday night, head over to tour the docks and check out over 50 power boats from across North America. On Saturday morning don’t miss the boats taking off from the Confederation Basin and enjoy live music on Friday night and Saturday morning in the park.

8. Limestone City Blues Festival
August 22-25, 2019
$20 Wrist Bands – Springer Market Square

Come out to celebrate the 23rd annual Limestone City Blues Festival in Springer Market Square throughout the weekend. With a worldly line of up of musicians coming out from as far as Australia, Tennessee, Kansas City, and as close as Napanee and Quebec. 9. Little Troopers
Tuesday mornings until August 20, 9:30am – 11:00am
Arrowhead Beach, CFB Kingston

Join the KMFRC staff for some unstructured, play-based activities. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen and comfortable clothes/footwear for outdoor play and learning activities. Join us for fun learning games, bilingual circle time songs, parenting tools on child development and support from our staff.

10. The Teddy Bear Picnic –Saturday, August 24, 10:00am – 2:00pm
Lake Ontario Park, $5.00 per child (free for adults)

This will be the 25th annual Tamarack Teddy Bear Picnic, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington. Activities will include bouncy castles, arts and crafts, and a teddy bear parade. Kingston Transit will offer free travel for children and youth aged 14 and younger who ride the bus with their teddy bear. Please check the link below for tickets:
