‘Tis the Season’

The holiday season is just around the corner, and we hope you are gearing up for this year’s in-person and indoor ‘Tis the Season’ Garrison Kids’ Holiday Party on Saturday, November 26, from 1300 to 1630. This year the holiday party will return to familiar grounds and will be hosted by the KMFRC (Kingston Military Family Resource Centre) in the Field House at the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre (KMCSC).

Great attractions await the entire family this year. Enjoy an outdoor horse and wagon ride, get your face painted to look like your favourite character or have fun decorating gourmet cookies. Get in the holiday swing with music and games or dance around the hall with Olaf, one of the few characters in festive costumes. Hop on a special miniature VIA Rail train inside the Field House or have fun taking family holiday selfies at our Elfie Photo Booth. And of course, there will also be an opportunity to take pictures with Santa who might make an extra special appearance this year.

Please note that 30 minutes prior to the official event start time, doors for the event will already be opening for families who would benefit from a sensory reduced environment.

All activities are first come first served and entrance to the event is free. Because sharing is caring, everyone is invited to bring a non-perishable food item for the Partners in Mission Food Bank.

We ask all participants to please pre-register for their tickets on our Garrison Kid’s Holiday Party event page on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/420410177157), as this does allow for easier planning. The deadline for registration ends on Monday, November 21st at the end of business day. Don’t forget to add-on a free special gift per family to your ticket reservation!
