KMFRC: New Program Alert!

After attending the Atlas Family Virtual Summit last January, the Veteran Family Program Navigator here in Kingston was inspired by stories from adult children of CAF Veterans who live(d) with an OSI from their time serving our country. Adults who fell through the cracks of supports and services, simply because they turned 21.

Life is different when trauma enters the conversation. Everything changes and everyone is impacted. And turning 21 doesn’t mean that you no longer need support, if anything, you need it more than ever.

To address this huge gap in support, we’ve created Navigating Healing and Finding Centre (NHFC). A program for individuals who were impacted by the laden energy that trauma and OSI brought into their home. A program where we introduce psychoeducational aspects and impacts, holistic nutrition, iRest, Yoga, and Breathwork, to arm you with information and tools that you can take with you to help you as you continue your journey of understanding and healing.

Starting April 4th, and running weekly for 8 weeks, NHFC will be running out of the Kingston MFRC to answer the cry “What about us?!”.

If you are 18 years of age or older, your parent(s) had an OSI, and you feel like this childhood / youth experience is still impacting you in your life now, please join us.

Priority is given to those whose parents medically released or are medically releasing from the CAF (due to funding source), however we invite all those interested to reach out.

If you have questions about this program, participant eligibility, etc., please contact:
