Did you know that there is a Lending Library at the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC)? CAF community members are welcome to borrow resources for children, youth and adults, related to a variety of topics: military family life, self-esteem, connection, mindfulness, various exceptionalities and diagnoses, mental health and wellness, parent support, and more! The library has a growing collection of materials in French, and also offers flash cards, games, and assistive devices (including day lamps, timers and writing supports, to name only a few).
The book we are highlighting this month is Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Tough Stuff. This collection of stories from teen contributors reflects on coping strategies, “tough times and lessons learned”- inspiring hope during a season that brings about many different emotions.
Items in the KMFRC Lending Library may be borrowed by accessing an online catalogue. For more information, military members and their families are invited to connect with an Information Services Assistant by calling (613) 541-5010, ext. 5195, emailing kmfrc@kmfrc.com, or visiting the KMFRC during business hours.
