Here is your unique chance to talk to the Ombudsman for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces, Gregory Lick, at a townhall meeting right here in Kingston on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at the KMFRC gym. The position of the DND/CAF Ombudsman is independent of the military chain of command and civilian management. The Office of the Ombudsman was created in 1998 to increase openness and transparency in the Canadian Armed Forces and the Department of National Defence.
During the outreach session at the KMFRC, you can learn how the DND/CAF Ombudsman can help you as a member of the Defence community, you can discuss important issues with them and receive help navigating any grievance.
As the session will be held during family supper time, all attendees will be served pizza and drinks.
The goal of the event is to hear from you and give all CAF community members a chance to raise any issues you might be facing in a relaxed atmosphere.
Gregory Lick brings a wealth of experience from a career with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) spanning three decades as well as having served as a Naval Reservist for over 17 years, retiring as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. Greg has a history of working closely with the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces on Joint CCG-CAF Operations, policy development, as well as vessel procurement, previous to his career as Military Ombudsman. Please register ahead of time at kmfrc@kmfrc.com, or by calling us at 613 541 5010 ext. 5195 and join us on February 28th at the KMFRC gym at 32 Lundy’s Lane, Kingston ON.
