It’s always a positive change to see the winter turn into spring. It’s the perfect time to get involved in the community, and there are so many great opportunities to do so. PSP and Kingston Military Family Resource Centre have developed some amazing programs and workshop that you and your family can take advantage of.

To honour the sacrifices of the children of the military community, April is recognized as Month of the Military Child. One of the most difficult experiences for Canadian Armed Forces families is frequent relocation, which involves finding schools, supports, friends and activities in a new community. We should all be grateful for the sacrifices made by military families and recognize the strength and resilience of the military children.

Come out and support the military members by attending the CFB Kingston Spring Craft Sale on April 29th, or the CFB Kingston Lift-Off powerlifting competition on April 14th. The military members participating in the competition deserve our support, and it will be a great experience to cheer them on. It is a great way to show our appreciation and take part in the community.

The transition from winter to spring is an excellent time to get involved. PSP and Kingston Military Family Resource Centre have developed some fantastic programs that cater to families and provide opportunities to connect and make new friends. Joining these programs can help individuals and families to settle in more quickly, and create lasting memories in their new community. To all who have received their posting message, congratulations on embarking on your next adventure. We extend our best wishes for your future endeavors. Your time at CFB Kingston has been duly noted and appreciated.
