Drink Less. Smoke Less. Live More!
National Addiction Awareness Week is 19-25 November. This is the opportunity to reflect on and change elements of the culture that limit the health of members and effectiveness of operations.
On Oct 30th Supervisors gathered for the Base Chiefs Breakfast and discuss the importance of the supervisor’s role in creating an addiction free environment. The group listened to testimonials from CAF members who graciously shared their experiences of living with addiction while serving in the CAF.
Studies show that up to 47% of people who die in a workplace accident had alcohol in their bloodstream at the time of the accident.
