Graduation week at RMC is one of the College’s most recognizable traditions. During this very special week there are a number of events that take place including convocation, the Sunset Ceremony, Graduation Parade, and the Graduation Ball. The Grad Ball is the last event of the week and is the culminating celebration of success, family, and the adventures to come for these newly commissioned officers in the Canadian Armed Forces.
For the second year in a row the Graduation Ball will have CANEX/SISIP as its presenting partner. Locally CANEX and SISIP provides much needed support for all Officer Cadets throughout their journey at RMC and it only seems fitting they are very involved in what turns out to be the very last event Officer Cadets (newly commissioned Second Lieutenant/Acting Sub-Lieutenant) participate in before leaving RMC.
For the first time the RMC Graduation Ball will have corporate sponsorship to assist in making this event as memorable as possible for all graduating students and their families. For 2019 the Bronze Sponsors include Labatt Brewing Company and Goodway Thrift Store/Browns Fine Food services. Supporting sponsors include Coke Canada and Pizza Pizza (Hwy 15 location). Lastly, the RMC Unit Fund is a proud partner of this event.
While Convocation and the Graduation Ball are invitation only events, the Sunset Ceremony is open to the public for viewing. It is schedule to start at 1900 at the RMC Parade Square and finishes with an unbelievable fireworks display at dusk. For those wishing to attend please plan to arrive early.
