Summer Fun at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston

1. Walking Trails at Arrowhead Beach

Escape into nature with the picturesque walking trails at Arrowhead Beach. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll or to play in the warming waters of Lake Ontario, these trails offer the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors with your loved ones.

2. Drop-in Sports at the Base Gym

Get active and have fun with drop-in sports at the Base Gym. Whether you’re into basketball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee and many more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Look no further for a fantastic way to keep fit, reduce stress, and strengthen relationships with fellow military members and their families.

3. CFB Kingston Pool Open Swim – every Saturday and Sunday

Beat the heat and splash at the CFB Kingston Pool during open swim hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 1400 to 1530. With lifeguards on duty, it’s a safe and enjoyable environment for all ages. Whether swimming laps or simply cooling off, the pool is the place to be this summer.

4. Cannon Ball Crush – June 7, 2024

A high-energy, 5 km course with 20 obstacles is designed to test your physical and mental strength. Register before May 31st to test your limits either at your own pace or part of a team! All fitness levels are welcome to this historical experience, so whether you are testing your strength and agility as you navigate obstacle courses, climb walls, and conquer other exciting

challenges or cheering on the competitors, it’s an adrenaline-pumping experience that promises fun and excitement for the whole family.

5. Summer Equipment Rentals

Summer in Kingston offers many activities for military members and their families, including equipment rentals for outdoor adventures! From kayaks and paddleboards to bicycles and camping gear there’s something for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether exploring the Thousand Islands, biking scenic trails, or camping under the stars in Frontenac Park, equipment rentals are convenient and accessible starting May 13, 2024.
