1 Engineer Support Unit (ESU) took on the initiative to donate non-perishable food items to the local Partners in Mission Food Bank to support community members in need. On June 9th, 2022, they met their goal of collectively donating 300 pounds of food. This is a significant accomplishment that demonstrates not only unit cohesion and pride, but also a commitment to support the local community.
“It’s not every day that our unit can make such a direct impact on the Kingston community, and this was a fantastic opportunity to do so. I’m so proud of the team here at 1 ESU for meeting our ambitious goal”, says LCol Bradley Krajcik, the 1 ESU Commanding Officer.
Members of 1 ESU made the Kingston-based Defence Team proud by displaying their humanity and passion with their large donation to the Partners in Mission Food Bank. Let’s take this act of service as inspiration to do our part in supporting our local food banks, in ways both big and small. The Kingston Partners in Mission Food Bank accepts non-perishable food items year-round, as well as monetary donations.
