This Veterans’ Week, we’re excited to invite you to the KMFRC and join us and the Military Communications & Electronics (C&E) Museum on November 5th for the 2nd Annual The Gathering.
We are launching Veterans’ Week with this wonderful opportunity to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Airforce (RCAF) by joining together to hear from those who have been a part of it, to connect with our CAF, Veteran, Family and Greater Kingston communities, and by enjoying delicious food together and warming up with coffee and tea!
At The Gathering, retired RCAF member Brian Woodford will be sharing his unique journey in the RCAF and his son later following in his footsteps. CFB Kingston’s Indigenous Spiritual Leader Tim Yearington will talk about the importance of community and connection through traditional Indigenous wisdom.
As we honour those who have come before us, we also aim to create a space where we can connect with our neighbours, strengthen our community, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges others face in their lives.
Amid the busyness of work and life, it’s more important than ever to pause, take a deep breath, and connect with others.
This exceptional event strives to generate acceptance of each other. Learning. Listening. Growing. Appreciating. Building understanding and compassion. And most importantly, feeling a sense of connection to something greater than us.
