Every year, Personnel Support Programs (PSP) dedicates the month of June to the
promotion of their Community Recreation departments. This Canada wide initiative titled “June is
Recreation Month” (JRM) highlights the importance of recreational activities and the positive
influence it has on our families and communities. All events are family oriented, in hopes that
healthy and active living becomes second nature, ultimately setting children up for healthy and
happy futures.
This year, the theme for JRM is “GET UP, GET OUT AND GET ACTIVE!” In support of
JRM, CFB Kingston Community Recreation will be hosting a Beach Party at Arrowhead Beach
on Saturday 23 June 2018 from 1100-1500hrs. Activities at the event include kayaking,
paddleboarding, swimming, boat rides and fun for the whole family! Jump into summer and join
our Recreation staff for face painting, food trucks, bouncy castles, Cruisin’ Clubhouse and much
more!
For those attending the CFB Kingston’s Beach Party, over $1,000 worth of prizes have
been generously donated. We would like to thank Logos Land Resort, Trailhead Kingston, Owl
Rafting, and Wilderness Tours for their wonderful contributions to this year’s June is Recreation
Month Event! We are pleased to announce that this year’s JRM Grand Prize consists of a 2-
night stay and five all day Water Park passes to Logos Land Resort for the whole family to enjoy
outdoor recreation activities and family fun!
