Command Team Message – July 2023

CFB Kingston Command team. Chief warrant Officer Prendergast and Colonel Hatoon. May 2 2023, CFB Kingston.

We want to thank all members of the CFB Kingston Defence Team for the wonderful work you have done so far this year. We encourage you to take a well- deserved break this summer and spend time with your families and friends. It is important to genuinely disconnect and lay down your tools in order to refresh yourself while also remaining mindful of people who may be struggling with mental health.

We want to emphasize that our most valuable resource is our people. Please encourage your subordinates and peers to maintain their physical and mental fitness and to take advantage of the available support resources.

If you have recently been posted to CFB Kingston, we encourage you to take advantage of the local resources and assistance that the KMFRC, PSP, and Health Promotion teams provide to our defence team and their families. You can join one of the many summer sports teams, a base club, or the “Social Opportunities, Lasting Outcomes” (SOLO) program, which aims to foster community through social interactions.

If you are being posted out, please accept our heartfelt gratitude for all your efforts and services to the CFB Kingston team. Best wishes in your future endeavors! Thank you to all the spouses, children, and extended families whose steadfast support has enabled the Canadian Armed Forces units at CFB Kingston to accomplish their assigned missions and tasks, whether they were operational in nature, in a support role, or recruiting and training our future officers, sailors, soldiers and aviators.
