Join our YOUth Matter Mondays

The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) is pleased to announce its newest endeavour in creating services and events for youth from military families. Starting April 8 from 4pm to 7 pm, the KMFRC YOUth Matter team will be holding weekly drop-ins for youth between the ages of 12 and 18 in our new youth area.

These drop-ins will be called YOUth Matter Mondays and continue to be held every week (excluding holidays). This will give youth from military families the opportunity to participate in a fun event, interact with their peers, and learn about and engage in exciting and unique activities to help enhance their mental health and wellness.

Stay tuned for more information on YOUth Matter Mondays coming soon!

Update on the YOUth Matter Advisory Committee

Are you between the ages of 13 and 20? Do you need volunteer hours to earn your high school diploma? Do you want to make a difference for other youth from military families and have a say in what services and events the KMFRC offers? If the answer is yes, we encourage you to join the YOUth Matter Advisory Committee.

The committee will help you meet all of these goals. The commitment that we ask from you is to attend bi-weekly meetings at the KMFRC, help plan and implement services and events for youth, and be present at youth related services and events. For more information on the committee or to complete an application to join, please feel free to reach out to Youth Counsellor Theresa Brannen at youthcounsellor@kmfrc.com
