Many of us have identified fresh or continued aspirations for the New Year. Now comes the hard part: following through! If you struggle to pursue and achieve your resolutions, you might want to create a vision board. This tool collects and displays your goals in one location, keeping your intentions clear and at the forefront of your mind. Building a vision board and reviewing it regularly can encourage you to put in the required effort, make the necessary interpersonal and professional connections, and seek the resources needed to achieve the goals that you have set.
Vision boards often include:
- Inspirational quotes
- Words and phrases that affirm how you’d like to feel, or what you’d like to accomplish, such as strong, budget-conscious, healthy, travel and learning.
- Pictures that represent your vision – these might include a photo of your dream home, or a less literal image, like a photo of a farm that reminds you where you’d like to build a home.
Throughout the year, we will offer articles that might inspire additions to your vision board, as you pursue personal development and wellness. Be sure to check back in December 2018 for a reflection on the year, and the learning and progress you attained!
