Another Crossing Project: Rapid Access Program Extended!

The Sexual Assault Centre Kingston (SACK) is happy to announce that we have been approved for funding from the Department of National Defence’s Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre (SMSRC) to continue our Another Crossing Project for another two years. This project will be extended through April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2025. This means that we will continue to provide confidential rapid access support to our Skills and Support counselling program allowing Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Department of National Defence (DND) community survivors to be placed at the top of our waitlist for counselling.

Our goals with this grant will be to improve the awareness of our services across the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston and to provide knowledge to CFB members that dismantle the attitudes, behaviours, and beliefs contributing to gender-based violence.

Thank you to the SMSRC for your contributions that allow us to support CAF community survivors, the CFB Kingston members who help us create connections, and of course the CAF survivors who have placed their trust in SACK. We are ready for the next two years to deepen our relationships, reach new members, and contribute to taking further steps toward change.
