The Fort Henry Heights Minor Hockey Association (FHHMHA) is a club, and non-profit organization, established by CFB Kingston that aims to serve all military families within the CFB Kingston community, both past and present, including associate members. The aim of the FHHMHA is to impart the enjoyment and skills of hockey, to discourage violence, and to promote a wholesome sportsperson attitude among the participants. We are the home to the Fort Henry Junior Paladins, and teams participate as an association of the Church Athletic League (CAL) from Initiation (U7) to U18. The CAL is, in turn, a participant in the Ontario minor Hockey Association (OMHA). On behalf of the President of FHHMHA, the purpose of this e-mail is to announce registration which is now open for the upcoming season (link to registration below).
- Deadline for registration is 14 Sep 23, but early registration is encouraged in order to allow for planning of teams;
- Priority, in accordance with 2023 FHHMHA Handbook, will be applied to those registered by the deadline. Late registrants will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. In recognition of the extended active posting season, regular members will be accepted late; however, they may have to be placed with a CAL team, but the FHHMHA rates will be honoured.
- Costs are as follows:
- U7 – TBC based on the number of registrants, but no more than; Regular: $280 | Ordinary: $310 | Associate $330
- U8/9 – Regular: $420 | Ordinary: $435 | Associate $495
- U11 – Regular: $470 | Ordinary: $495 | Associate $540 | Goalie $170
- U13 – Regular: $550 | Ordinary: $575 | Associate $640 | Goalie $220
- U15 – Regular: $600 | Ordinary: $620 | Associate $670 | Goalie $240
- U18 – Regular: $645 | Ordinary: $665 | Associate $710 | Goalie $260
- A $100 discount will be applied to the third child.
- Practices are generally on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons, with games on Sundays, or throughout the week.
- Practices will start after 9 Sep (to be confirmed), with games beginning on 30 Sep.
- Coaches meeting tentatively scheduled for 7 Sep, volunteers are welcome and encouraged with no previous experience required.
- CAL is soliciting interest in a U21 division. Members interested in U21 should contact CAL.
- CAL is also soliciting a volunteer for the U7 and U8 Convenor positions. Interested persons should contact the FHHMHA Convenor, Mark Peebles (margoyle74@hotmail.com).
- There will be no equipment exchange this year due to depleted donations with CAL; however, they are looking to enable Marketplace transactions within their Facebook group in order to allow for identification and gifting of extra gear.
Kindly complete one form per child. Please note that our prices will include single team practices and one tournament. In order to pay for the hockey fees, you will need a Book King account. Please see attached PDF “How to Guide” attached. The portal will open the week of August 21, 2023.
